Paris WDS & Championnat de France 2011

Some news from the World Dogshow 2011 in Paris. Our weekend started super with some nice wins and 2 new French champions.
On Friday our Pomeranian puppy was BOB puppy and even got RBIS puppy.  On Saturday both Pojke and Noah won the CAC.
Noah even went BOB in championat de France under Mr. Blangino. Later on that evening we heard that my daughter and her boyfriend were celebrating as well.
Their Australian shepherd won Puppy World champion, BOB puppy and was in top 6 BIS puppy at the world dog show. (www.daydreambelievers.be)

Sunday started well with Pojke becoming Best male -2.5kg again and Noah winning open class male + 2.5kg with and entry of 27 males.
But then something went terribly wrong. Due to a lack of knowledge of the ring stewards, they handed out the world championship title without letting pojke compete.
The ring stewards ling-up 4 dogs of +2,5kg  ( Intermaidiarre , Open,  Junior & Champion class, but in France the Junior & Champion class never cane win the CAC, and the judge give direct the CACIB & World Winner titlle) So go have win the CAC? Way the -2.5kg class didn’t compete against the best male of +2,5kg for the World Winner Tittle?
Of course I was extremely angry. It’s only a dog show, but let’s please not forget all the work and time exhibitors put in coming to the show.
Let’s not even mention how expensive the entry fee was and people having to pay hotel costs in Paris.
But for me the worse thing was not able to show this gorgeous papillon to the audience around the ring.
And our little boy sure looked stunning that day being in top condition.
I do want to apologize to everyone for the delay and chaos I might have caused.
For many people it might have seemed that I was a bad loser, but that was simply not what was going on.
I already said it on Sunday , many congrats to the World Winner 2011 who is a very flashy boy. Well done!
Now about what happened, what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. We sure will be back on the next editions, fighting like a Flemish lion again.

Puppy World Champion @ WDS Paris

Great news from the World Dogshow in Paris. We were so proud to promote our little boy in Paris. And what a wonderful day we had!  Sky became Puppy World Champion and BOB puppy in Paris. Judge Mr Pichard Laurent really loved Sky.  After the breed judgements we had to hurry to the mainring. I was told it would start much later but when I arrived in that hall and asked the ring steward it seemed like puppies were up next in the ring. I had to rush into the ring but luckily Sky made a good impression and got shortlisted with the 6 best puppies for BIS Puppy.  We are so proud of his result. You can find all the pictures in our Photoalbum.

Sky photomodel

Yesterday at the CACIB dogshow in Genk , we met a team of english photographers who were busy making some new pictures of breeds for an update of their ALL breed  encyclopedia.  They took some standing, sitting, head and profile pictures of our magic boy.  The photographer was so happy with our boy as he was doing so super in the studio!  And she liked the pictures a lot!!!! Eventhough he is only 6 months old.  Now all we need is patience for the book to be published. We keep you updated of course!

Sky RBIS BABY @ CACIB SHOW GENK

What a wonderfull day, it started with raindrops this morning and a bad morning temper but ended with sunshine and big smile. Sky became Best Of Breed Baby under honourable judge Mrs Van Brempt.  Every show his performance in the ring is getting better. In the mainring Mrs Vermeire awarded our little boy with Reserve Best In Show Baby. It wasn't so easy to take a good picture as the only thing sky wanted to do on stage was to go fool around with the photographers toys.   This week starting traning for his first appearance in puppy class.

Sky Best of Breed Baby at Lommel CAC Show

Today we went to the CAC show in Lommel (Belgium). Sky's first real dogshow.   Mrs Melchior from Luxembourg awarded sky with Best of breed Baby.   And gave us the ticket for the mainring.  All breedgroups were judged on one day, so all breeds were represented in the mainring. Unfortunately Sky didn't got shortlisted. Never the less he showed super in the mainring.  All the noise of microfone, boxes, audience... sky didn't care and showed us he is a future showdog.  We are looking forward to the next show to see how he will be evoluating.
